Who We Are
We are just a married couple who once had a simple dream of leaving the city and building a small farm with animals, land, and a slower life. After Hurricane Ian took everything from us, there was a season where that dream felt impossible, and we felt completely lost. But in that quiet place, God reminded us of the dream He had planted in our hearts when we first met.
So we started again.
Today, we are building The Hammie Ranch from the dirt up, raising animals that will feed our family and one day nourish others too. More than anything, we hope this land becomes a place where people can sit on the porch with us, share their stories, and leave feeling a little less alone.

Porch Talks blog
Porch Talks is the journal of The Hammie Ranch, a place where I share faith, encouragement, and stories from life on the ranch.
Some posts are reflections on what God is teaching me. Others are updates as Trevor and I build the ranch from the ground up. And sometimes it is simply the everyday moments that come with animals, land, and this wild journey we are on.
It is meant to feel like sitting on the porch together, sharing honest stories, real life, and a little encouragement along the way.
Vision
Our vision is for The Hammie Ranch to be a sanctuary for the soul, a place where the presence of the Holy Spirit fills every field, tree, and barn. We want everyone who steps onto this land to feel peace and know they are not alone in this life. We pray the porch becomes holy ground, a place where stories are shared, burdens are lifted, and God meets people right where they are.
Mission
Our mission is to steward this land with Jesus at the center of everything we build, grow, and raise. Through the animals, the land, and the food it produces, we want to provide honest nourishment while giving thanks to the Lord for His provision. Through hospitality, conversation, and life on the ranch, we hope every person who visits leaves with a little more peace and a reminder that God is near.
