🎉 We are officially landowners! 🎉
We bought 5 acres of raw land in Southwest Florida to build our sustainable off-grid farm, and the paperwork is signed. The land is ours.
We didn't get here overnight. We didn't win the lottery or pull up with briefcases full of money. What we did have? Faith. Vision. And the drive to build a life from the ground up.
This land means more to us than a zip code — it's the start of our modern homesteading journey, a place where we’ll raise animals, grow food, and create a faith-based ranch experience to bless others.
Yes, we signed about a million papers (sorry to the six trees that sacrificed their lives for that stack 😅), but no one can take it away now. This 5-acre property is officially The Hammie Ranch — and we’re thanking the Lord every step of the way.
Why We Chose to Start a Homestead in Florida
We didn’t just want a house with land. We wanted purpose.
We believe in living simply, raising animals ethically, growing our own food, and creating a space that reflects our values.
From our future dairy goats, chickens, and beef cows, to our dream of an off-grid barndominium, to offering faith-based farm experiences for families — this land is our blank canvas.

We’re not ashamed that we couldn’t buy this land with cash. In fact, we’re proud of it.
We worked hard. We sacrificed. We waited on God's timing.
And because of that, we are walking into this next season with humility and deep gratitude.
